Connecticut's only zoo, the Beardsley is actively committed to species conservation and research. The zoo is set on 35 acres and includes an indoor rain forest, a children's zoo set on a typical New England farm, and a carousel. Guests can visit more than 300 animals on display, including tigers, condors and bears. The zoo is open daily from 9am to 4pm.
